"Repairing Memories, One Squeak at a Time

I'm excited to enter the WD-40 repair contest with our community beach chair, a treasured fixture at family gatherings for years. This chair has provided a comfortable spot for those who forgot theirs or preferred to relax on the beach instead of swimming. After being exposed to harsh beach weather, hard on chairs because of the salt air, it's a wonder it's lasted this long. The chair spends its summers with us, proudly standing outside from May to October, before being stored away for the winter months in a local's building. When in use, it gets pulled out from behind the big shale rocks where it's temporarily stored when not in use, waiting for whoever needs it the next day, and comes out again to serve its purpose.

After a few years, the chair's joints had become corroded and rusty. But with the help of WD-40's Precision Pen, we were able to breathe new life into it. We applied the lubricant to all the moving parts, letting it sit for a while before giving it a second coat. Miraculous sunrises show up in May, and this chair will be ready to provide a seat for those who come to enjoy them.

This repair is more than just fixing a piece of furniture -...it's about preserving memories and ensuring future generations can enjoy the same comfort and joy.
