Ready to Dance!

A pair of stylish black Mary Jane heeled shoes, perfect except for their persistent squeak with every step, were finally silenced using a simple DIY fix. The source of the noise seemed to be the joint where the heel met the sole. After gently cleaning the area, a small amount of WD-40 was sprayed precisely into the seam where the heel attached to the shoe, using the narrow straw applicator for accuracy. The shoes were flexed gently to allow the lubricant to work its way in. After wiping away any excess, the squeak vanished, leaving the shoes quiet and comfortable again.
