Perfect Rust Remover

I used WD-40 to remove rust from an old knife that had been sitting around for a while. First, I sprayed a good amount of WD-40 directly onto the blade, making sure the rusted areas were thoroughly coated. I let it sit for several minutes so the oil could penetrate and start loosening the rust. After that, I grabbed some fine steel wool and gently scrubbed the blade, focusing on the spots where the rust was worst. The WD-40 helped break it down, and the rust started to come off with a bit of pressure. I wiped away the loosened rust and oil with a rag, checking to see if any stubborn spots remained. For the areas that still had some rust, I repeated the process—more WD-40, more gentle scrubbing. Once the blade looked clean and free of rust, I gave it one final wipe to remove any residue. In the end, the knife looked a lot better, and I gave it a light coat of oil to help prevent future rusting.
