Lawn Mower Do over instead of Landfill Junk
Saved from the dump, thrown away probably because of seized pull cord and wheel rusted, seized and unworking mechanisims. I was up for the challenge!
Step 1
WD-40 to clean and lubricate the pull cord assembly. 1. I sprayed WD-40 onto the pull cord assembly and gave it a good satiration. It was really corroded, rusty and heavily packed in dirt and grime. 2. Let sit for 15 minutes. 3. I brushed away the excess corrosion, rust and grime with an old rag. 4. I repeated the process the second time but left on only minutes this time. I brushed away the excess. 5. I smiled at a job well done. lol
Step 2
this was the repeat process
Step 3
smooth and working..success
Step 4
1. A good spray on the wheels to cover the entire wheel. 2. I used a brush to remove the grime and debris. There was a lot. 3. I rinsed the wheels off and dried them good and put back on. 4. I smiled again at my work.lol
Step 5
Now I am busy ....mowing... What someone probably replaced I took as a challenge. Lots of things can be repaired and restored with the patience and greatg consistent products to help you achieve that goal.
Step 6
1. Loosened stuck parts, got in all the tight spaces and made the job a success.
