Garage Door Squeak!

Here’s a little fix-it job I took on recently: my garage door had developed a loud squeak—something I noticed every time I used it. We all have those annoying noises that pop up, especially after a long winter. Thankfully, all it took was a few sprays of WD-40, my go-to solution for silencing squeaks.
Here’s how I tackled it:
Identify the source of the squeak. First step: figure out exactly where that annoying noise is coming from. (Easier said than done when everything's echoing.)
Aim for the trouble spot. Once I found it, the next challenge was getting the WD-40 where it needed to go. The smart spray nozzle made it easy to target just the right spot.
Apply and test. A few quick sprays and then... the best part: test it out. Nothing but sweet, squeak-free silence.
Here’s to another “squeaky wheel getting the lube,” and to many more simple, satisfying fixes. Thanks, WD-40!
Step 1: Identifying the issue / root cause

Sometimes the sound source is not obvious. You need to find it!
Step 2: Applying the product- the fix

Using the straw in this hard to reach area helped me apply liberal amounts in the correct location.
Step 3: Verification

No more squeak, and the joint looks better lubricated.
Step 4: Bonus story about using WD40 on garage doors :)

Many years ago my mom's garage door used to be really hard to open and close. One day I decided to fix that with a spray can of WD40.
Well...my sister did not know that I did that and when she was leaving the garage with her friend, she PUSHED the door shut with all of her might- as you normally do when your garage door is not being maintained well.
Unfortunately, since the garage door moved much more freely after the maintenance I had done, it closed a lot faster and hit my sister's friend on the head. Luckily, she only got a goose bump. Just be careful—WD-40 can work surprisingly well on garage doors!!
