Basement Hatch Piano Hinge Needs WD-40

We have a basement hatch that there is a piano hinge on and it needed some WD-40 MULTI-USE to keep it in good shape. I vacuumed the piano hinge off and then lightly sprayed WD-40 MULTI-USE on it. As a result the lubricated hinge works smoothly and quietly.
